GoodWorks was honored to host Dominique Erney, a second-year law student at Yale Law School. Dominique is writing a paper for school about people’s experiences with the plea bargaining process using interviews with folks in New Haven. Dominique is interested in the criminal legal system because she comes from a community in the South where many of her own family members and people close to her were incarcerated throughout her life. She hopes to use this paper to center and elevate the stories of the people most impacted by the system.
If you have taken a plea bargain and would like to be interviewed for this project, or would like to know more information, please reach out to Dominique at dominique.erney@yale.edu or (352) 672-3145. All interviewees will be anonymous and the interview should last no more than 30 minutes to an hour. Thank you!
